| "Chien" is represented by hexagram 53 of the I Ching and translates as "Gradualness" or "Gradual Development". At Chien Center, we subscribe to the philosophy that true progress can only be made through diligent practice over time. We do not have a rigid program or a one size fits all approach to healing; we work with each Client on an individual basis to help them discover the tools that will work best for them.
We offer sessions in Medical Qigong, Tui Na, Zen Shiatsu and general Jin Shin style Acupressure. Also offered are individual and group classes in several styles of Qigong movement and meditation as well as introductory Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan.
Chien Center is located on two and a half acres in the forest along Bear Creek in Boulder Creek, California, just 20 minutes from Los Gatos.
After a session, you can take a walk down to the beach at our private swimming hole, hang out under the trees or just sit on the deck and listen to the birds sing. |
Biography: |
It was only four short years ago in 2001 that I discovered Qigong but the impact it has had on my life in that time has been profound. I completed a 3 year Medical Qigong program at the Longevity Institute in San Jose, CA and I continue to study Tai Chi movement at the Institute as well. I am a certified Acupressurist specializing in Tui Na and Zen Shiatsu, and I incorporate all of these modalities in my practice.
I am passionate about the power of Qi Movement Practices and have dedicated my life to helping people discover what something as simple as Qigong can do for their lives. We offer all of our services on a sliding scale so that virtually anyone can visit.
I organize a monthly book study group where we study the writings of Taoist Master Ni, Hua-Ching and the Integral Way of Taoism. I am also a Spirtual Coach and Mentor.
