Dancing Mountain provides classes in Yang Family Hidden Tradition Tai Chi, Gold Mountain School Taoist Meditation, and I Chuan or Kong Jing empty force QiGong. Classes are held at Relaxing Alternatives, in Gaithersburg Md 301-987-2300. Crossings, in Silver Spring 301-565-4924. And at the Silver Spring YMCA 301-585-2120. Therapeutic Modalities; Shiatsu, Therapeutic Qi gong, Essential Oils blencing according to principles of Chinese Traditional Medicine. Treatment is individualized and may include exercises, meditation, bodywork, and understanding the psychological / spiritual framework of Chinese Medicine in the Five Elements System. (Not Western Psychology). Meditation is taught by appointment. Dancing Mountain also sponsors John Cole L.Ac. to teach various QiGong and Healing methods based in Taoist and Chinese Zen tradition.

Biography:
Mike Basdavanos began training internal martial arts training in 1968 and teaching in 1983. Beginning with Chen Man Cheng's short form and continuing with Wang Yen-Nein's long form of the Yang family Tai chi tradition. He has continued to learn about the processes of Qi Cultivation and Healing through studies and practices of NeiGong Meditation (Tian Ming 1988), QiGong exercises ( John Cole since 1995), and Asian Bodywork Therapies like Shiatsu, Tuina, 8 Extraordinary Vessels acupressure (dipl. Asian Bodywork Therapy NCCAOM 2002, Certified Practitioner AOBTA 2002). He currently teaches QiGong in the Asian Bodywork program at Baltimore School of Massage and at the above locations...His current studies are focused on Medical QiGong.
