| The Capital District T'ai Chi and Kung Fu Association offers its members a chance to learn a wide variety of styles of martial arts. Jianye Jiang and his wife, Yuzhi Lu are proficient in the five major styles of Tai Chi, Chen, Yang, Wu, Wu (Hao) and Sun as well as Zhao Bao. They teach chu'an (empty hand), broadsword (dao) and straight sword (jen) along with Qi Gong, staff, fan and Kung Fu.
Classes are held at the studio 6 days a week and private lessons can also be arranged. Jiang Jianye is available for workshops. Call for details at 518-459-6869.

Biography: |
Jiang Jianye began studying Wushu when he was five years old, learning from well-known masters such as Yu Mingwei, Yu Hai and many others. He received BA and MA degrees from Qufu University and Shanghai Physical Education Institute. He is a national and international martial arts judge in China and the United States. Jiang is also a renowned as a master calligrapher, winning national and international awards. Sales of his calligraphy have garnered more the $10,000, all donated to the Shandong Disabled Association. He has acted in movies produced in China, Australia, and Japan. .Jiang has also produced over 160 videos including videos on Tai Chi forms including Chen, Yang, Wu Hao, and Sun Style, as well as sword, broadsword, staff, spear and fan.
