Biography: |
Johnna Morrow began her qigong practice in 1995 with Ken Cohen, learning the Five Animal Frolics. She is currently active in his teacher training program, learning several other forms while engaging in research, workshops and lessons. Other instructors include Shou-yu Liang and Wen Shing Wu, completing their Medical Qigong Teaching Certification program in 1999.
Johnna’s external energy healing work began with Reiki 1 and 2 certification in 1985, followed by a Qi Healing workshop with Ken Cohen & Daniel Benor, and is complemented by her personal qigong practice.
Other related experiences include studies in dance, taiji, Alexander Technique, yoga and shamanism. The most exciting experience of her life so far is a trip to the Republic of Tuva in Russia, where she received a series of treatments by a Tuvan shaman, with whom she also studied in the United States. Indigenous healing traditions in Tuva, America and the around the world continue to be an interest.
Johnna is a musician and artist, keenly interested in the creative process and how qigong and meditation open us to exploring our creative potential.
