Biography:
My search for an internal kung fu led me to yi chuan & the practice of zhang (standing like a pile). After a while, i developed methods of chi-into-the-bones by condensing breath, combined with cross circuitry to circulate the chi inside the bones going up from the foot of one side, spiral past the waist, and expressed in the hand of the other side, making a small point of focus at the low Dan Tien (DT3). I also do Taoist Small Cosmo Orbit and Large Cosmo Orbit. I absorbed environmental chi, mostly heaven chi and earth chi, through the feet and finger tips, but also from the pores of the skin. I do Taoist sexual energy circulation and converting jing into chi by semen retention, injecting the chi into the Bone Marrow and brain, which is a process the Buddhist calls "Washing the Bone Marrow and Brain" - Iron Shirt training II. The chi once circulated into the old brain can stimulate the endocrine glands to produce neurotransmitters and neurohormones, such as testosterone and serotonin. I have been using this method to increase the level of serotinin in the blood and create more such receptors in the brain cells. I found relief to my anxiety and prepare me for handling stress much better. Opening the Third Eye and the Heart also help with the Inner Smile breath. I also do Iron Shirt training one, on which subject Do Mo wrote a classic titled "Strengthening the Ligaments and Tendons", which to me is a similar exercise of modified yoga (Do Mo was a Buddhist priest from India who came to China to spread Buddhism),as a cross training for the other energy exercises. I also do Inner Smile - Master Chia's internal meditation. My orientation at this stage is health and self-healing. I might go into the martial art aspect of qigong later when I build up a strong supply of chi in the DT3, the Life Gate, inside the spine, in the cavities as well as shoulder and knees joints. I use chi to mix with the knee fluid to add more lubricant to that joint. I use the same method to mix the chi with the Bone Marrow for Core training, RBC and WBC promotion, and to vibrate the chi to the next energy level. With such energy I can smile to my internal organs and their fascia, which can be a trained method as Iron Shirt III - warding off injury when hit. With the circulation of the chi, I have been able to stop the pain of my left shoulder, the tingling and numbness of my right arm, and now I am working on my right side of my lumbar sacral area, a pinching type of pain. I hardly get sick because my immune system is up. I can get into the zhang posture and with the yi/mind focus, I can direct the chi and attain chi feeling of compression, pulling in opposite directions, and powerful fullness feeling. I did 20 years of Tai Chi beofore, all three styles with very little result. My previous year of progress is worth more than the last 20 years during which I was groping in the dark, even though I have had 8 teahers, and three of them died. I met the right person to introduce me to the internal style yi chuan, which led me to all kinds of energy exercises, but I only stick with the ones that work for me. I also do research on the internet; information came to me during meditation like with no effort at all, and all the years, such information eluded me. I know right away which information is right for me and which one is just talk. When one opens his/her mind, information rushes in. When one opens his/her Heart, out flows the love and compassion. But, keep all the energy in the Dan Tien 3, not at the Third Eye or the chest. This is the safety valve not to divert from the right Path. Compress, squeezing, condensing, compacting all have to be done with tension without tensing, actuality of chi and not a visualization. Chi healing is not just a placebo effect. Chi is real. Use the yi, but not force, as if yi is there but not there. Do not over-focus and want too much, too fast. Use the yi to direct the chi and use the chi to move the body. These will prevent pitfalls, especially for someone without the guidance of a teacher.
