Professional Instructor Qigong Energy-Work Healer
| Qi (pronounced chee) is the body’s life enabling vital energy. We experience blockage or depletion of this vital energy as pain, disease or disharmony. These effects may be felt in our mind, body, and/or spirit. In Asian Medicine, methods like acupuncture, cupping, guasha, herbs, moxibustion, tuina massage, and qigong are used to balance and free the flow of Qi. Mark Melchiorre uses these Asian Mind-Body Energy methods, including specialized forms of acupuncture known as Balance, Chronotherapy, and I Ching styles, to promote health and to effectively treat and prevent a variety of physical and emotional disorders. Mark teaches tai chi and qigong, Asian Medicine's self-care component, to those interested in health maintenance, self-healing and increasing vitality. |

Mark Melchiorre is a practitioner of Asian/Oriental Medicine. He received his Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Samra University in Los Angeles, California. Mark's postgraduate studies include an internship at the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hangzhou, China. He has been a faculty member at several schools of Asian Medicine teaching acupuncture points location and theory.
In 1985 Mark began studying T'ai Chi Chuan and Qigong with Professor Dan Lee at Dan's Academy of T'ai Chi Chuan in Pasadena, CA. Studies with Dan included Yang Style Long Form, and Soaring Crane qigong. The study and practice of T'ai Chi Chuan and Qigong led Mark to investigate the philosophy behind these disciplines, culminating in his present position as a practitioner of Asian/Oriental Medicine. He is a certified instructor for Jiang Jianye's Health Preservation Association, and certified in Tai Chi Easy™, a method combining Bu Zheng (Vitality Method) Qigong and Tai Chi movements.
