Dr. Swartz's Bio
Sherwood (Woody) Swartz has his degree in Oriental medicine and is a State licensed and nationally board certified as an acupuncture physician. He has been a pioneer in alternative health care for over 30 years. As a part of his comprehensive training, he worked in the immunology department at South Shore Hospital in Miami Beach Florida.
Since 1994 Dr. Swartz has helped hundreds of people afflicted with HIV and AIDS by volunteering his time and energy at the center of Positive Connections of North Miami Florida. Dr. Swartz completed his advance studies in neurology under the direction of Professor Sun at the prestigious Heilogjian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Harbin China.
During his stay in China he was afforded the privilege of working in conjunction with many well known (TCM) doctors. He has extensive experience working and training in the medical, spiritual and martial Qi Gong (Chinese Energetic Medicine) disciplines. He is presently completing his internship in medical Qi Gong, under the direction of Dr. Jerry Alan Johnson, one of the few internationally recognized non-Chinese Grand Masters of Medical Qigong therapies.
Dr. Swartz is a well known lecturer and teacher in the United States and abroad. In addition to teaching workshops for professional health practitioners and others seeking to apply traditional and alternative therapies, he integrates ancient and modern practices to benefit his patients.
